Three Places at Once

Ever wanted to be in more than one place at once? I know I have! It would make some things in life so much easier! Sometimes we’re invited to two events at the same time, and there is no possible way to be at both. It can be difficult to decide which to attend, and we usually don’t want to dissapoint people. It’s not so bad if we don’t want to do one of the things anyway. But, sometimes they are both good things that we would love to be at.
Calvin invented the ‘Duplicator’ to solve this problem. He made many copies of himself, and just sent one to school each day, while the rest stayed home and played. If you are familiar with the comic, this led to laziness and disaster as the Calvins refused to do any work and would accept no responsibility for any actions, as there was no proof as to which of the Calvins had really done it.
Unfortunately, being in more than just one place at once just isn’t possible for us. That’s why I’ve decided that since I can only be in once place at a time, I should always be at the best place I can be at that time. On a Sunday, the best place I can be is at church, so that’s where I’ll be. On Tuesday evenings I have Elder’s Quorum meetings, so that’s where I’ll be. When things need to be done at home, that’s where I’ll be. If I set my prioroties right, then these decisions barely even have to be made, they just fall into place.
I guess that along with that comes responsibility for our actions. We will make bad decisions, and priorities will get inverted sometimes. But when it does happen, we need to step up and improve it for the next time.
What brought this all up, though, is that I am actually at three places at once! Well, my car is at least. On Google Maps. In the satellite view, it’s at my parent’s house. In Street view it is at the Soininen’s house and also State Supply Furniture, where I worked over the Summer.
Because of how Google Maps works, these will eventually change. If you notice that Chad (my car) isn’t there anymore, let me know and I’ll upload pictures of when he was.
